Technically this particular flashback is one week after the fact but we were still in Movie Awards mode last Friday so we delayed it a bit. No biggie. Trust us when we say the uber R/K cuteness of this event *definitely* holds up.
Twilight Convention Panel (Los Angeles, CA) - June 12, 2010
With Eclipse premiering in late June, July’s Comic Con, which had hosted panels for both Twilight and New Moon, was rendered useless. But where there’s money to be had a will, there’s a way and thus, L.A.’s Twi Con was born. Held the weekend of the Eclipse press junket, it was the perfect chance for the fans to see who, let’s face it, they really wanted to see, namely Rob and Kristen (OK, OK…Taylor, too). And, as is wont to happen when Rob and Kristen are together at an event, epicness (yes, it’s a word- culled straight from the R/K lexicon, see also: hobeau and fuckdorable) abounded.
“Kristen is just like the most incredible actress I’ve ever met. She’s so wonderful. I don’t think she said one scripted line in the movie. She’s so like realistic and natural. She’s also like very young. She’s 17 now. I was shocked to see somebody that age come across so maturely and lived in…It’s been overwhelming. I think she’s so wonderful.”—Jesse Eisenberg on #kristenstweart on Adventureland (via eclipsemovie1)
“The big scene where they try and kiss and he goes crazy, it’s like the climax moment of their relationship. Well, not the climax, but it’s like a pivotal scene in the whole movie. And, actually, a lot of my preparation for the whole character was kind of leading up to that scene.
Kristen was really into Bella being a sadomasochist. …
Wait, not a sadomasochist! I mean a masochist (laughs). She was into that whole thing. She’d say, ‘Yeah, Bella just likes being hurt’ (laughs). ‘Be really rough!’”—Robert Pattinson, on the “sexually overpowering” nature of Edward and Bella’s dynamic within the saga (Los Angeles Times 11/08)
“The weirdest fucking themes run through this story—like dominance and masochism. I mean, you always have to realize that the story needs to make sense to the 11-year-olds who read the book and aren’t necessarily going to be viewing a scene as foreplay. But then there is the other segment of the audience—a large percentage—who does see the scene as foreplay. And it’s pretty deep, heady foreplay. [laughs] So it’s fun to play it both ways.”—Kristen Stewart, on the “sexually overpowering” nature of Edward and Bella’s dynamic within the saga (Interview magazine 11/09)
In the left pic a fan (kstewluver216) gave Kristen a bracelet made out of pop tops at the Eclipse L.A. premiere. In the right pic, at the afterparty for the premiere, notice on her left wrist she’s wearing the bracelet.
It bothers me when people say she’s horrible to fans or ungrateful. I…
